"Worst Thing"

President Obama said today "I can guarantee that the worst thing we could do would be to raise taxes when the economy is still this weak."

I agree. He only left out that the this "worst thing" is exactly what he and President Bush have done so far.

You may find this usefull:

"1. Data Release: PSID 2009 Housing, Mortgage Distress, and Wealth
Preliminary data collected during 2009 on housing, mortgage distress, and wealth have now been released into the public domain and can be accessed at the PSID website here.

The SAS data file consists of a balanced panel of 7,922 families interviewed in the PSID in both 2007 and 2009. New content in 2009 was collected on mortgage distress in the form of foreclosure activity, falling behind in payments, mortgage modification, and expectations about mortgage payment difficulties in the coming 12 months. PSID is releasing these data in advance of the full 2009 data in order to respond to the scientific and policy needs of the user community. As a result, these data have not been processed or cleaned. Only limited user support is available for these data, but staff are interested in user feedback about their quality (psidhelp@umich.edu). The collection of these data was supported by the National Science Foundation, the National Institute on Aging, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development."
